About the Role

Sudel Industries Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Underground Electrical Supervisor to join our Projects Team at Olympic Dam, SA. This role can be offered on either a full-time or casual basis and is responsible for leading the safe and successful delivery of underground electrical construction and infrastructure projects.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will provide day-to-day leadership to electrical tradespersons and leading hands, ensuring works are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role will play a key part in coordinating labour, materials, subcontractors, and client interfaces while maintaining a strong focus on safety, productivity, and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate underground electrical construction activities, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.

- Supervise electrical tradespeople, leading hands, and subcontractors to achieve project delivery objectives.

- Plan, monitor, and coordinate daily and weekly work fronts to meet project schedules and milestones.

- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and client requirements.

- Participate in project planning, scope reviews, constructability assessments, and execution strategy development.

- Monitor labour productivity and resource utilisation, identifying opportunities to improve project performance.

- Coordinate procurement requirements, material deliveries, plant, tooling, and equipment availability.

- Complete and review project quality documentation including ITPs, ITRs, FTRs, commissioning documentation, and handover dossiers.





- Conduct field leadership activities including pre-start meetings, workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety interactions.

- Liaise with client representatives, project management teams, planners, engineers, and other work groups to ensure effective project execution.

- Identify and proactively manage project risks, constraints, and technical issues.

- Provide mentoring and technical guidance to team members while promoting a robust safety and quality culture.

- Assist with project reporting, progress measurement, forecasting, and completion planning.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative, site, and company safety requirements.

What We're Looking For

- Electrical Trade Qualification and current unrestricted Electrical Licence.

- Demonstrated experience supervising underground electrical construction or project teams in the mining, resources, or heavy industrial sectors.

- Strong understanding of project execution methodologies, construction sequencing, and work package delivery.

- Experience delivering electrical infrastructure projects including power distribution, substations, switchrooms, communications, instrumentation, and commissioning activities.

- Proven leadership experience managing trades personnel and subcontractors in a project environment.

- Sound knowledge of quality management systems, inspection and test requirements, and project documentation.

- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, construction work packs, and project schedules.





- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and project teams.

- Proven ability to identify and resolve technical and construction-related issues in the field.

- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.

- Current Australian Driver's Licence.

- Demonstrated underground mining experience at Olympic Dam is highly desirable and will be strongly considered.

- Previous experience working on BHP Copper SA operations is required.

- Current underground mining inductions and relevant site qualifications advantageous.
