Laynhapuy Homelands Aboriginal Corporation (Laynha) is looking for a motivated, organised and community-minded Projects Coordinator to join our Remote Area Employment Services (RAES) team.

This is an opportunity to develop and coordinate projects that create meaningful employment, build skills and support recent enterprise opportunities for people living across the Laynhapuy Homelands.

About Us

For more than 40 years, Laynhapuy Homelands Aboriginal Corporation has supported Yolŋu people living across approximately 30 homelands in East Arnhem Land.

Through our employment and community programs, we work alongside Yolŋu people and communities to create opportunities for skills development, employment and greater economic participation.

About the Program

RAES is a federally funded employment program delivered by Laynha across Arnhem Land. It supports local job seekers to build skills, overcome barriers, and move into sustainable employment through a flexible, strengths-based and community-led approach.

About the Role

You'll coordinate designated employment and development projects across the RAES service area. You'll help take projects from planning through to delivery, making sure they create meaningful outcomes for participants and meet funding and contractual requirements. Your days will be wide-ranging and may include:

- Planning, coordinating and evaluating community employment and development projects.
- Managing project milestones, budgets, deliverables and risks.
- Supporting project staff and participants to achieve successful outcomes.
- Coordinating procurement and ensuring value for money and compliance.
- Preparing project reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Building strong relationships with communities, Traditional Owners, employers, training providers,



government agencies and other stakeholders.
- Representing Laynha at community meetings, forums and project activities.
- Identifying opportunities for new employment projects and community enterprises.
- Contributing to business cases and partnerships that create sustainable employment opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

- Experience coordinating community development, employment or training projects.
- Strong project planning, organisation and time management skills.
- Experience working with funding agreements, reporting and compliance requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to use initiative, solve problems and make sound decisions.
- Cultural awareness and a genuine commitment to working respectfully with First Nations communities.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
- A current open manual driver's licence.
- A current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or ability to obtain)

A tertiary qualification in Community Development, Social Work or a related field is desirable, but equivalent experience will be considered.

Experience working in remote or First Nations communities will be highly regarded.
