PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Responsible for undertaking installation, inspection, maintenance and repair activities on network systems throughout the Northern Territory, as
required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The “WHAT” to be delivered

- Undertake construction, inspection, repair and maintenance activities of electrical distribution and transmission assets.
- Utilise and participate in business systems supporting maintenance, procurement, customer service and network performance.
- Participate in system operational work including field switching.
- Communicate effectively with workmates, supervisors and the general public and establish effective working relationships.




- Participate in training activities to meet organisational requirements.
- Ability to undertake works in regions outside Katherine as may be reasonably required and directed.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Qualification and Skills Experience

Essential • An AQF Certificate III or equivalent trade qualifications, • Experience in network systems, specifically 22kV and 11kV in
skills, knowledge and experience in ESI Distribution maintenance and operations

• EWP Licence • A proven track record with Safety and reliability
• Current NT Electrical Licence or ability to obtain • Previous Distribution HV Switching Experience

Desirable • HV operator certificate and/or XLPE Cable Jointing • Experience in testing services and system earthing, and/or
recognised qualification experience in live line glove and barrier work

• Current Live Line Glove and Barrier / Hot Stick 11/22kv • HV/LV cable jointing construction and maintenance.
• EFM Electrical Fitter Mechanic • Previous experience in leading field crew
• C2 Crane • Bore/Install pole for distribution network system.
• HC or HR Truck licence • Ability to transport electrical / hardware equipment
