We're seeking an experienced Meat Manager to lead our meat department at our Leongatha location. This full-time role offers $75,000 – $85,000 per year (depending on experience) and requires a Qualified Butcher with proven department management experience.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage daily operations of the meat department to deliver excellent quality and service standards
• Achieve sales budgets, gross profits and wage control targets while controlling shrinkage
• Complete rostering that meets customer needs while maintaining department budgets
• Order stock, maintain correct pricing and ticketing, and handle department invoicing
• Conduct monthly stocktakes and maintain HACCP standards
• Coach and support team member development in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure all cleaning schedules and company policies are maintained

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
• Qualified Butcher certification
• Proven experience managing a meat department in supermarket or retail setting
• Track record in high volume sales environments
• Experience with rostering, invoicing, and clerical procedures
• Strong leadership skills with ability to coach and develop team members
• Knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety requirements
