Time Fraction: 0.6 FTE (3 days per week)
Remuneration: $66,667 pa pro rata ($40,000 equivalent) + 12% super

About the opportunity
Get Skilled Access (GSA) is recruiting a Sport4All Inclusion Coach based in Broome, Western Australia to support the delivery of the Sport4All program across the Shires of Broome, Derby-West Kimberley and Halls Creek.
About Sport4All
Sport4All is a national program commissioned and funded by the Federal Government and the Australian Sports Commission. It is designed and delivered by Get Skilled Access to build inclusion capability in community and school sport.
The program works through partnerships with local governments, schools, sporting clubs and disability communities, embedding inclusive practice at a grassroots level.
Understanding the Role
The role is delivered in partnership with Garnduwa Amboorny Wirnan , a Kimberley-based Aboriginal organisation that delivers sport, recreation and leadership programs across remote communities.
Key aspects of this role include:
- Working closely with Garnduwa staff, including Active Communities Coordinators
- Supporting delivery across the Shires of Broome, Derby-West Kimberley and Halls Creek
- A stronger emphasis on Aboriginal community engagement and culturally informed practice
- Access to an office base at the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport (CITS) Kimberley Sportshouse in Rubibi / Broome, which includes step-free access,
accessible parking and shared accessible facilities
Who we are looking for
We are seeking applicants who:
- Are a person with disability and or have a lived connection to disability
- Have strong connections to their community
- Are passionate about supporting inclusive sport for people with disability
- Are comfortable working independently while being part of a supportive team
- Have experience in sport as a participant, volunteer or administrator
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, sporting clubs and community stakeholders
- Support communities to access and complete the Sport4All training and resources
- Promote inclusive sport opportunities for people with disability
- Support inclusive activities such as sessions, workshops and community events
- Collect and maintain accurate program data for reporting and evaluation
- Contribute to team meetings and continuous improvement
