About the role

This is a flexible work-from-home position for an experienced garment alterations and repairs professional. The work will include a wide variety of garment alterations and repairs.

Key responsibilities

- Taking up trousers and pants
- Replacing standard zips in pants and other garments
- Replacing and fitting invisible zips in dresses and other garments
- Shortening and altering lined jacket sleeves
- Dress alterations, including taking in and letting out where possible
- General garment alterations
- Repairing holes, tears and damaged seams
- Replacing and sewing on buttons
- General mending and repairs

About you

- Have solid experience in garment alterations and repairs




- Be confident working with both standard and invisible zips
- Be experienced with dresses, trousers, jackets and lined garments
- Produce neat, professional, high-quality work
- Be comfortable working with a variety of fabrics and garment styles
- Have your own suitable sewing equipment and workspace at home
- Be reliable and complete work within agreed timeframes
- Have positive attention to detail and take pride in your workmanship
