Curtain Machinist – Kilsyth

Metro Shades makes custom curtains and blinds for retailers and builders across Victoria. We're after an experienced machinist to join our curtain workroom.

The job

- Cut and join fabric to size from job sheets

- Machine side hems and bottom hems

- Apply heading tape and finish to spec

- Work across sheers, blockout linings and heavy fabrics

- Industrial machines

You'll need

- Experience on industrial sewing machines

- Accurate measuring and cutting

- A positive eye for finish

- Reliable, and easy to work with

Curtain experience is a bonus. If you've sewn clothing, upholstery or soft furnishings, we'll train you on the rest.

What we offer

- Full time, Monday to Friday. No weekends.

- Steady work all year

- Small team, on-site parking
