Role Overview

Provide companionship and social support to Vi, a senior resident with a 4‑wheel walker. Visit her for up to an hour per week or fortnight, chat about her life in Birmingham, help with gardening, and assist with jigsaw puzzles. This is a volunteer position within the Seniors & aged care sector.

Commitment

Regular – more than 6 months.

Time Required

- One hour per week or fortnight for visits.
- Genuine interest in people.
- Caring and empathetic nature.
- Sunny disposition.
- Love for building current friendships.

Training and Support

Riverview Community Services (RCS) will partner with you to provide volunteer visitor training, workshops, and ongoing support.

Eligibility

The volunteer must be able to travel to Redcliffe, comfortable engaging with a senior individual, and committed to the regular schedule.
