Home Migration Services Aircraft Installations is seeking an experienced Sheetmetal Trades Worker to join its team. The successful applicant will fabricate, assemble, install, maintain and repair sheet-metal components while meeting technical, safety and quality requirements. Benefits

Task & responsibilities

- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications.
- Measure, mark out, cut, bend, shape and form sheet metal.
- Fabricate and assemble sheet-metal components and products.
- Operate guillotines, presses, rollers, folders and other fabrication equipment.
- Join components using riveting, bolting, welding, brazing and other appropriate methods.
- Install, modify, maintain and repair sheet-metal components.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, alignment, tolerances and quality.




- Identify and rectify fabrication or installation defects.
- Maintain tools, equipment and a safe, organised workplace.
- Comply with workplace health and safety, quality assurance and company procedures.

Qualification & experience Applicants must have:

- a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Sheet Metal

Working), or an equivalent relevant trade qualification;

- at least three years of relevant full-time experience as a Sheetmetal Trades Worker;
- demonstrated experience in sheet-metal fabrication, assembly, installation and repair;
- the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications;
- experience operating sheet-metal fabrication machinery and tools;
- strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship; and
- the ability to work safely, independently and as part of a team.
