Workscreen Medical is a leading Occupational Health Clinic based in Mandurah, Western Australia, specialising in workplace health, occupational medicine and injury management.

We work with a diverse range of employers and industries, including mining, healthcare, transport, manufacturing and other safety-sensitive workplaces, providing medical assessments and occupational health services that help businesses support the health, safety and wellbeing of their workforce.

We are seeking a Doctor with an interest in Occupational Medicine to join our growing team.

This is an excellent prospect for a GP or medical practitioner who is looking to develop or expand their experience in occupational medicine, with the potential to build a varied and rewarding occupational health caseload.

About the Role

The position is 2 days per week . We are open to discussing a range of engagement arrangements, including:

- Contractor

- Casual

- Part-time employment

The role may involve a mixed occupational medicine caseload, with the opportunity to develop your skills and experience across a range of workplace medical services.

Essential Experience / Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be involved in:

- Pre-employment medical assessments

- Injury management , including workers compensation, fitness for work assessments and return to work planning.

- Commercial driver medicals

- Medical assessments and advice relating to workplace health.

- Communicating effectively with employers, workers and other health professionals

- Preparing clear, accurate and professional medical reports

Desirable Experience

Experience in the following areas would be highly regarded:





- Occupational medicine / occupational health

- Worker’s compensation and injury management

- Workplace health assessments

- Health surveillance assessments

- Commercial driver medicals

- Mining or other safety-sensitive industries

- Registered Rail Authorised Health Professional (AHP)

Don't have rail AHP registration? That's okay. Training and support can be facilitated for the right candidate.

Similarly, we are open to doctors who have a solid interest in occupational medicine but may not yet have extensive occupational health experience. Training and mentoring can be provided to help develop your occupational medicine skills.

About You

We are looking for a doctor who demonstrates:

- Full AHPRA registration

- Eligibility to apply for a Medicare provider number and prescriber number

- A genuine interest in occupational medicine and workplace health

- A high level of professionalism and integrity

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent clinical assessment and report-writing skills

- The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team

- A practical and professional approach to working with employers and workers
