MAYDAY Recruitment is partnering with a respected organisation within the funeral services sector to recruit a Part-Time Funeral Conductor / Arranger based in Mayfield, NSW.

Working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, this role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, highly organised and service-driven, with the ability to support families through sensitive and meaningful moments while coordinating professional funeral services.

The Role

n

As a Part-Time Funeral Conductor / Arranger, you will work closely with families and the local team to arrange and conduct dignified funeral services. You will play a key role in ensuring services run smoothly while providing empathetic, professional support to families during their time of need.

Working Wednesday to Friday, your key responsibilities will include:

n

- Meeting with families to arrange and coordinate funeral services in line with their wishes
n
- Conducting and overseeing funeral services with professionalism and respect
n
- Providing exceptional customer service to families, clients and internal stakeholders
n
- Supporting day-to-day operations at the Mayfield location
n
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures and quality standards
n
- Assisting with preparation,



coordination and service delivery as required Contributing to a collaborative and respectful team environment
n
- Supporting health, safety and wellbeing standards in the workplace
n

About You

n

Essential:

n

n
- Experience in a service-focused environment or the ability to quickly learn
n
- Current unrestricted driver's licence
n
- Comfortable working in circumstances involving death, grief and deceased persons
n
- Strong communication skills with a calm and empathetic approach
n
- High attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
n
- Sensitivity and respect for diverse values, beliefs and cultural practices
n
- Physically and psychologically fit to manage manual handling, stress and the inherent requirements of the role
n
- Availability to work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
n

Desirable:

- Exposure to or understanding of the funeral services industry, or willingness to learn
n
- Background in hospitality, retail, community services or a similar people-focused industry
n
