This is an exciting opportunity to commence a Steel Fixing Apprenticeship – Certificate III in Steel Fixing, working alongside a leading multinational construction company. You’ll gain hands-on experience on major commercial construction projects while learning from experienced tradespeople in a professional, safety-focused environment.
What you’ll learn
As a Steel Fixing Apprentice, you’ll develop practical skills including:
- Reading construction plans and reinforcement drawings
- Measuring, cutting, bending and positioning reinforcing steel
- Installing reinforcement for concrete structures
- Using hand and power tools safely
- Tying and securing reinforcing steel
- Understanding construction methods, materials and site practices
- Working safely around cranes, concrete operations and other construction activities
- Working as part of a professional construction team

What we’re looking for
You don’t need previous steel fixing experience. We’re looking for people with the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.
You could be the person we’re looking for if you are:
- Reliable, punctual and committed
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
- Practical and enjoy working with your hands
- Comfortable working outdoors and on construction sites
- Safety-conscious and prepared to follow instructions
- A team player who is willing to learn from experienced tradespeople
- Motivated to complete an apprenticeship and gain a recognised trade qualification
- Previous construction, labouring or work experience is an advantage but not essential
- P driver licence and own transport – ideal but not essential
- Have a White Card or willing to obtain one
