Dirk’s is growing — and South Bank is next.

Following the launch of our first store at Buranda Village, we’re building the leadership team for our second Brisbane location, opening in South Bank this October.

We’re a new fast-casual brand built around big flavour, proper food, cheeky energy and a love of dogs. We’re here to make fast food better — better bites, better vibes and better for dogs.

The role

As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll work closely with the Store Manager to help launch and lead Dirk’s South Bank.

You’ll be hands-on across the operation — running shifts, coaching the team, maintaining standards and supporting the commercial performance of the store.

This is a genuine 2IC role and an important part of our leadership pipeline. We want someone who can become a future Store Manager as the business grows.

What you’ll do

- Help launch and establish the South Bank store

- Run strong shifts and lead the team from the floor

- Coach Team Members and Shift Leaders in real time

- Support rostering, labour, stock, ordering and waste control

- Maintain speed, quality, cleanliness and customer experience

- Support training and development of the store team

- Help maintain food safety and compliance standards

- Bring our HHH service model — Hello, Hustle, Heart — to life

- Step up and run the store when the Store Manager is away

- Help develop the culture and operating standards future Dirk’s stores will follow

What we’re looking for

You may already be an Assistant Manager, 2IC,



Shift Manager or experienced team leader ready for your next step.

Ideally you’ll bring experience from QSR, fast-casual, hospitality, café, food retail or another high-volume customer environment.

Most importantly, you are:

- Hands-on and comfortable leading from the floor

- Reliable and accountable

- Calm under pressure

- Great with customers

- Confident coaching people

- Organised and commercially aware

- High-energy without being chaotic

- Hungry to learn and progress

Timing

Dirk’s South Bank is planned to open in October 2026.

The successful candidate will commence before opening and will need to be available for paid induction, training, team preparation and soft-launch activities in the lead-up to launch.

Final timing may shift slightly depending on store handover.
