Dirk’s is growing — and South Bank is next.

Following the launch of our first store at Buranda Village, we’re looking for a Store Manager to lead our second Brisbane location, opening in South Bank this October.

Dirk’s is a current fast-casual brand built around big flavour, proper food, cheeky energy and a love of dogs. We’re here to make fast food better — better bites, better vibes and better for dogs.

This is a chance to join early, lead a store from opening day, and grow with a brand that has ambitious plans to scale.

The role

As Store Manager, you’ll own the day-to-day performance of Dirk’s South Bank.

You’ll recruit and develop a strong team, lead from the floor, drive sales and labour performance, protect food quality and service standards, and build a culture people genuinely want to be part of.

You’ll work closely with our Operations Manager and broader leadership team through pre-opening, training and launch — then take full ownership of the store.

Just as importantly, you’ll be expected to build the next generation of Dirk’s leaders underneath you.

What you’ll do

- Lead the South Bank store from pre-opening through launch and ongoing trade

- Build, coach and develop a high-performing store team

- Drive sales, labour, stock, waste and overall store performance

- Lead key service periods from the floor

- Protect speed, product quality, cleanliness and customer experience

- Develop Assistant Store Managers and Shift Leaders

- Build effective rosters and strong operating rhythms

- Maintain food safety, compliance and store standards

- Bring our HHH service model — Hello, Hustle, Heart — to life

- Help refine how Dirk’s operates as the business continues to scale

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally bring Store Manager,



Restaurant Manager or equivalent leadership experience from QSR, fast-casual, hospitality or high-volume food retail.

You know your numbers, but you also know that great stores are built through people.

You are:

- Hands-on and happy to lead from the floor

- Commercially sharp across sales, labour, stock and waste

- Strong at coaching and developing young teams

- Calm and useful when service gets busy

- High standards without the ego

- Direct, genuine and fair

- Fast, practical and solutions-focused

- Excited by building something rather than simply maintaining it

Timing

Dirk’s South Bank is planned to open in October 2026.

The successful candidate will commence before opening and will need to be available for paid induction, training, team preparation and soft-launch activities in the lead-up to launch.

Final timing may shift slightly depending on store handover.
