About the role

Zebra Lounge is seeking enthusiastic and professional Wait Staff to join our team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a vibrant hospitality venue where you'll deliver exceptional customer service in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Based in Pyrmont, NSW, this casual position offers flexibility whilst allowing you to develop your skills in food and beverage service. As Wait Staff, you will be the face of Zebra Lounge, creating memorable experiences for our guests through attentive service, product knowledge, and genuine hospitality.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting guests warmly and seating them according to venue policies and procedures

- Taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently

- Providing knowledgeable recommendations about menu items and beverages

- Serving food and drinks in a timely and qualified manner, adhering to health and safety standards

- Clearing tables promptly and maintaining a clean and organised dining area

- Processing payments and handling cash and card transactions with accuracy

- Responding to guest requests and resolving any concerns with courtesy and professionalism

- Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service delivery

- Maintaining personal hygiene and appearance standards consistent with venue requirements

- Following all venue policies, procedures and food safety regulations

What we're looking for

- Previous experience as waiting staff, preferably in a hospitality environment

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and qualified demeanour

- Strong ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail

- Reliability and punctuality with a flexible approach to shift work

- Basic numeracy skills for handling payments and processing transactions





- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette

- Customer service orientation with a genuine desire to create positive guest experiences

- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry items safely

- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from management

- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or willingness to obtain one (preferred)

- RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) or equivalent certification (preferred)
