- Lead Alinta Energy’s modern slavery compliance program
- Influence procurement, projects and senior stakeholders
- Enjoy flexible working, energy discounts and career development
Alinta Energy is one of Australia’s biggest energy retailers, generators and developers with over 1.1 million customers. Australia’s energy system is undergoing the biggest transformation in its history and we’re right there with it. We’re investing in and developing large-scale renewables and storage projects as part of our ongoing effort to provide our customers with reliable, affordable and sustainable energy.
We understand that flexibility matters when considering your next role. Let us know your requirements, and we’ll carefully consider how we might accommodate them.
Ready to make a real impact?
Lead the development of Alinta Energy’s annual Modern Slavery Statement and strengthen the systems, processes and stakeholder action that support our compliance obligations. You’ll turn commitments into a clear delivery roadmap, guide cross-functional teams and help reduce modern slavery risk across complex supply chains.
Why you’ll love working here
At Alinta Energy, we’re taking real action to deliver reliable and sustainable energy for Australia — and that practical approach runs through everything we do. You’ll get clear direction, genuine flexibility, and the support you need to grow, all while working on projects that make a lasting difference. We’re big enough to create impact, but small enough that your ideas and effort will always be seen.
There are plenty of other great benefits of working for Alinta Energy,
including flexible working, energy discounts, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a paid volunteer day each year, fully stocked kitchens, and lots more.
What you’ll do
- Leading the preparation of Alinta Energy’s annual Modern Slavery Statement, including the delivery roadmap, Board approval process and submission requirements
- Chairing the Ethical Sourcing Working Group and coordinating commitments, owners, milestones and reporting across the business
- Strengthening due diligence systems and processes, with a focus on higher-risk suppliers, tenders and technology supply chains
- Advising procurement, project teams, the Board and other internal stakeholders on modern slavery and broader ESG matters, including training and contract reviews
- Contributing to sustainability and community initiatives, business planning and budget management.
Your experience
- A relevant bachelor’s degree in sustainability, risk, legal or a related discipline
- At least five years’ experience in sustainability or the energy industry
- Experience managing complex projects, delivery roadmaps and deadlines across cross-functional teams
- Written communication skills suited to annual statements, executive and Board-level material,
supported by advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint capability
- Stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work proactively both autonomously and as part of a team.
Please note this role requires full working rights within Australia.
This role is suited to a highly organised project manager and written communicator who can create clear action plans, influence stakeholders outside their reporting line and translate complex compliance activity into a credible annual statement.
