We’re looking for an enthusiastic Employment and Training Program Support Officer to join our team in Southport. This role is all about helping participants succeed through the Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) program.
About the Role
In this rewarding position, you will:
- Support the Employment and Training team to deliver SQW training courses.
- Recruit participants and assist them with enrolments.
- Provide wraparound support to remove barriers to study.
- Assist participants with resumes, cover letters, and job applications.
- Maintain accurate student records and reporting databases.
- Build robust connections with local businesses to create work placement and employment opportunities.
- Develop referral pathways by engaging with local businesses, organisations, and community groups.
- Work closely with RTOs, trainers, and students to ensure program success.
- Contribute to promotional activities and community engagement.
- Carry out other duties as required to support program delivery.

About You
We’re looking for someone who is people-focused, flexible, and committed to supporting others. You’ll need:
- No formal qualifications required, but a Certificate or experience in Community Services or similar is desirable.
- Experience in providing employment or training support is also desirable
- Driver’s licence (essential).
- Ability to obtain a Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- A positive, “can-do” attitude and flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
