- Instructing and supervising kitchenhands or junior kitchen staff on food preparation tasks

Qualification & experience
To be successful in the role, you will need to have:
- AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery with at least two years of relevant on-the-job training, or an AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent overseas qualification), OR at least three (3) years of full time relevant work experience as a Cook
- Demonstrated experience preparing and cooking food in a commercial dining or catering establishment
- Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements applicable in Australia
- Ability to work efficiently under supervision and as part of a kitchen team, including during peak service periods
- Good communication skills to liaise with the Chef and other kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Relevant food safety supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain on commencement), where required by [STATE] legislation at a minimum.
- At least 1-year prior experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and good communication skills.
- The ability to work well within a team environment and under pressure.
- Availability to work days, nights, and weekends, and have your own reliable transport.
- An ability and desire to work morning, late evening, and weekend shifts.
