No survey experience? No problem — if you know AutoCAD inside and out, we want to talk to you.
Prism Surveys is looking for a Survey Drafter to join our Adelaide team. This role is about drafting, not fieldwork — so if you're coming from a civil, architectural, engineering, or general drafting background and haven't worked in the surveying industry before, that's absolutely fine. What matters is that you're genuinely strong in AutoCAD.
Who we are
We're a growing Adelaide cadastral and land development practice. Small enough that you'll get real ownership of your work early. Experienced enough to teach you the survey-specific side of things properly. We work with homeowners, builders, and developers across SA.
What you'll be doing
You'll take field data from our survey teams and turn it into clean, accurate plans and drawings in AutoCAD — cadastral plans, contour and detail surveys, land division plans, and site plans. You won't need to know the survey conventions on day one; we'll teach you those.
What we need from you is drafting skill you can hit the ground running with.
What you bring
- Robust, confident working knowledge of AutoCAD — this is essential, not negotiable
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to your drawings
- Ability to take direction, ask good questions, and learn survey-specific standards on the job
- Survey or land development experience is a bonus, but not required
What you get
A salary of $75,000–$90,000 depending on your experience, plus super. A hybrid work arrangement once you're settled into the role. A supportive team that will properly train you in the survey side of the role. Genuine long-term career growth as you build survey knowledge on top of your existing drafting skills.
Ready to get started?
Send your CV and a couple of sentences on your AutoCAD experience and what kind of drafting work you've done so far. That's enough for us.
