Permanent Part-Time - 3/4 days per week

Your Role

As MEND's Operations Manager, you'll run the day-to-day of our recovery centre and spa: staff, rosters, inventory, systems and admin. Your job is to keep MEND organised, running smoothly and working to a high standard, while leading and supporting the team and making sure they have the tools and systems they need.

MEND has two management roles that work closely together:

- Operations Manager: staff, facility, systems, inventory and day-to-day performance.

- Marketing & Customer Experience Manager: marketing, brand, promotions and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

Operations & Staff

- Run the day-to-day operation of MEND and lead the reception team, including hiring, onboarding, training and performance.

- Build rosters for spa attendants and massage therapists, covering leave and filling shifts when needed.

- Set clear standards for performance, presentation and customer service.

- Deal with staff and operational issues quickly, and keep the team culture positive and supportive.

- Be on call for urgent issues, with occasional work outside normal hours paid back as time in lieu.

Facility

- Keep the space and treatment rooms clean and running well, and get maintenance issues fixed promptly.

Systems & Admin

- Keep MindBody and our other systems running effectively, and manage bookings, customer accounts, payments and enquiries.

- Handle weekly cash reconciliation and banking.





Inventory & Suppliers

- Maintain stock levels across consumables, cleaning supplies, retail and equipment, and manage ordering, deliveries and supplier relationships.

Customers & Improvement

- Keep customer service standards high and resolve customer issues professionally.

- Spot ways to cut costs, improve efficiency and grow revenue.

- Work closely with the Owners and the Marketing & Customer Experience Manager on business goals.

What We're Looking For

- Robust initiative and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to resolve issues independently.

- Experience as a spa therapist, spa receptionist, in hospitality, or similar.

- A warm, professional manner with a close eye for detail.

- Available 30 hours per week, with some flexibility for evenings and weekends.

- Knowledge of spa and beauty treatments.

- Experience managing a team, or strong people skills.

- Confident with email, Google Docs and Google Sheets.

- MindBody or other booking system experience is a bonus, not a must.
