About the role
Positive Behaviour Support starts from a straightforward idea: behaviour makes sense. Your job is to understand what a person is communicating, help change the conditions around them, and build the skills and supports that give them a better quality of life. You'll work with families, support workers, and the person at the centre, across Geelong and the Bellarine.
Key responsibilities
- Get to know a person properly through home visits, observation, and time with the people who know them best
- Conduct functional behaviour assessments to work out what's driving a behaviour and what it's doing for the person
- Write behaviour support plans people will actually pick up and use, then coach families and teams while they put them into practice
- Collect and analyse behavioural data, and turn what it tells you into practical strategies
- Work alongside schools, day programs, GPs, OTs and allied health professionals
- Manage your own caseload, meet deadlines, and work effectively across community settings
About you
- You come at behaviour with curiosity and want to understand a person before you plan for them
- You're good with the people around someone: families, support workers, teachers, the whole team
- You bring experience in Positive Behaviour Support, behaviour assessment and intervention planning, with a person-centred, trauma-informed approach
- You can collect, interpret and use behavioural data to inform your clinical decisions and write plans that are clear and usable
- You communicate well and can explain complex ideas in accessible language and write high-quality reports
- You're committed to ethical practice, human rights, cultural safety and continuous learning, including engagement in supervision and professional development
- Minimum Bachelor-level qualification in a cognate discipline (psychology, social work, occupational therapy, speech pathology, applied behaviour analysis, counselling)
- Eligibility or registration with relevant professional bodies, and compliance with NDIS behaviour support requirements where applicable
- A Working with Children Check, or a willingness to get one
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check for this role
- A current driver's licence and the ability to travel locally for participant visits
About us
We're Bespoke Behaviour, a national, NDIS-registered PBS practice dedicated solely to person-centred, evidence-based behaviour support. We work in person, over telehealth, and in a blend of both, right across Australia, while holding onto the responsiveness and personal care of a smaller practice. National governance, national systems, and supervision pipelines that plug you into some of the sharpest thinking in the field, all grounded in dignity, curiosity and collaboration. Geelong was the first area we expanded to as we started growing as a company so we have deep roots there. The directors who run the whole national practice sit an hour up the road in Melbourne.
