About Our Clinic

Located in the heart of Gawler, close to Gawler Central, our clinic has built a strong reputation for compassionate care and exceptional client service.

We're open:

Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 6:00pmSaturday: 8:30am - 12:00pmWhat makes our clinic special isn't just what we do, it's how we do it.

Recently, our team worked together to manage a complex cardiac patient requiring a dental procedure. Through excellent preparation, explicit communication, and seamless teamwork, we delivered the safest possible outcome for the patient.

On another occasion, when a long-standing client needed to say goodbye to their beloved dog, team members came in on their day off simply to support the family. That level of care, compassion, and commitment is what defines our team.

About the Role

As a Casual Veterinary Nurse, you'll play an important role in supporting both our patients and our veterinarians while helping ensure the smooth running of the clinic.

Your responsibilities will include:





Assisting veterinarians during consultations, diagnostics, and treatmentsPreparing patients for surgery and assisting in theatreMonitoring anaesthesia and supporting patient recoveryAdministering medications and treatmentsCollecting pathology samples and performing diagnostic testingProviding nursing care for hospitalised patientsMaintaining accurate patient recordsEducating and supporting clients with their pets' healthcare needsAssisting with reception and client enquiries when requiredMaintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection controlThis role offers a varied caseload and the opportunity to utilise your nursing skills across all aspects of a busy general practice.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent qualification)Has previous clinical veterinary nursing experienceDemonstrates excellent animal handling and patient care skillsIs confident supporting both medical and surgical casesHas strong communication and customer service skillsWorks well independently and as part of a teamIs reliable, compassionate, and organisedEnjoys building strong relationships with clients and colleaguesBrings a positive attitude and a willingness to help wherever neededMost importantly, you're someone who genuinely cares about people, pets, and being part of a supportive team culture.
