YOUR ROLE
The Senior Workplace Technology Engineer is responsible for the design, operation and continuous improvement of MACS’ workplace technology platforms and services, including endpoint management, application lifecycle management, collaboration technologies, Azure Virtual Desktop, secure printing, automation, security and compliance.
Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manage and support Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android endpoints using Intune, JAMF, and provisioning tools, ensuring effective policy enforcement, automation, compliance, and lifecycle management.
- Administer the application lifecycle by packaging, deploying, updating, and retiring applications using Intune, PowerShell, Bash, and Microsoft Graph to enhance efficiency and service performance.
- Lead and manage a small team of Workplace Technology staff, providing technical direction, workload management, coaching, operational oversight and accountability for the delivery of secure, reliable and user-focused workplace technology services.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for complex endpoint, application, and end-user issues, applying advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement practices.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on endpoint health, performance, and compliance using Intune, Endpoint Analytics, Power BI, and automated reporting tools.
- Support and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop environments, including host pools, FSLogix profile management, and integration with Microsoft cloud and endpoint management services.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, Microsoft Teams Calling, Cisco Webex, and related collaboration technologies, ensuring reliable and effective service delivery.
ABOUT YOU
- Demonstrated experience managing Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android environments using enterprise device management platforms such as Intune and JAMF.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills, with Level 2/3 support experience resolving complex hardware, software, endpoint, and application issues.
- Proven experience in application packaging, deployment, and lifecycle management using Intune, PowerShell, scripting, and related deployment technologies.
- Demonstrated experience designing,
implementing and managing Microsoft Modern Workplace platforms, including Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and Endpoint Security solutions Advanced automation and scripting capability, including PowerShell, Bash, Microsoft Graph, Power Automate, and Power Apps, to streamline administration, reporting, deployment, and remediation activities.
- Experience implementing, supporting, and monitoring Azure Virtual Desktop and associated Microsoft cloud technologies, including Azure AD and Windows Autopilot.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, networking fundamentals, and collaboration technologies, including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive, routers, switches, and firewalls.
