This role will suit a mechanically and electrically minded technician who enjoys troubleshooting, customer interaction and working both independently and as part of a collaborative service team.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and troubleshooting specialised industrial equipment at customer sites across New South Wales. You will play a key role in supporting customers, resolving technical issues and ensuring equipment reliability and performance.

Working in a agile field-based environment, you will utilise your technical expertise to diagnose faults, complete repairs and provide outstanding customer support while maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Service, repair and troubleshoot industrial equipment across customer sites.
- Provide technical support and assistance to customers via phone and in person.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using appropriate testing equipment.
- Conduct equipment audits, preventative maintenance and service inspections.
- Liaise with customers regarding repair requirements, recommendations and solutions.
- Manage spare parts requirements and coordinate parts ordering for service activities.
- Ensure accurate service reporting and record keeping within company systems.
- Maintain technician stock levels and inventory control.
- Support the sales team with technical advice and customer engagement when required.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Metropolitan and regional travel as needed

About You

To be successful in this position,



you will demonstrate:

- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.
- Previous experience in a field service, maintenance or technical support role in the food industry.
- Ability to read technical documentation and follow diagnostic procedures.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and computer-based service systems.

Desirable Qualifications & Licences

- Trade qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Maintenance or a related discipline.
- Restricted Electrical Licence or willingness to obtain.
- Current Forklift Licence.
- Experience using multimeters and electrical testing equipment.
- Experience working with industrial automation, manufacturing, packaging or processing equipment.
