Amici Restaurant is looking for capable Front of House team members to join our team in Caloundra.

We’re looking for people who are confident in full table service, comfortable running their own section and genuinely enjoy looking after guests.

Amici is a busy, established restaurant with a strong local following. We take pride in providing warm, professional service without being stuffy or overly formal. We want people who can bring personality to the floor while still understanding the standards, attention to detail and teamwork that great restaurant service requires.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a hands-on restaurant floor position involving full table service from the moment guests arrive until they leave.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Welcoming and seating guests

- Confidently managing your own section

- Taking food and beverage orders accurately

- Learning the menu and being able to confidently explain dishes to guests

- Taking drink orders and developing a valuable working knowledge of our wine, beer, spirits and cocktails

- Making appropriate recommendations and upselling naturally

- Entering orders correctly through the POS system

- Running food and drinks

- Clearing, resetting and maintaining tables throughout service

- Checking in with guests and anticipating what they may need

- Managing the timing and flow of your tables

- Communicating effectively with the kitchen, bar and other FOH team members

- Processing bills and payments

- Assisting with opening, closing and general restaurant duties

- Providing friendly, attentive and professional service — even when things get busy

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You’ll need a solid understanding of full table service and the confidence to manage your own section.

We’re less concerned with how many years you’ve worked in hospitality and more interested in whether you can comfortably handle a busy restaurant floor,



communicate well with guests and work as part of a strong team. When service gets busy, you can keep your cool, work with the people around you and lock in when it counts — without losing the personality and warmth that makes great service feel effortless.

You’ll need to be:

- Confident and capable in full table service

- Comfortable managing your own section

- Confident carrying plates and trays and working efficiently on the floor

- Comfortable taking detailed food and beverage orders

- Friendly, personable and able to communicate naturally with guests

- Reliable and punctual

- Calm and organised under pressure

- Able to multitask and prioritise during busy services

- A strong team player who communicates well with both FOH and BOH

- Willing to learn our menu, wine list and service standards

- Able to take direction and feedback positively

- Well presented and professional

- Someone who notices what needs doing and gets on with it

- Genuinely interested in hospitality and giving people a great dining experience

Current Queensland RSA is required for applicants serving alcohol.

AVAILABILITY

Amici is a dinner restaurant, so this position requires evening and weekend availability.

Our busiest services are Friday and Saturday nights, so applicants need to be available to work these periods as part of their regular availability.

If you are only available for weekday or daytime work, this position unfortunately won't be suitable.
