Our long-established, family-owned General Practice, located on Brisbane’s south side, is seeking an experienced Part-Time Casual Registered Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team.

The position will initially consist of 10-20 hours per week, along with relief and holiday cover in addition to a rotating Saturday Roster. From the end of October, the position will also incorporate maternity leave cover, with the potential for increased hours during this period and possibility for the role to continue on an ongoing basis thereafter.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse who enjoys the variety of General Practice nursing and is confident working both autonomously and as part of a team. You will be highly organised, enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to multitask effectively in a busy practice environment.

Key Duties Include:

- Chronic Disease Management

- Care Plans, Health Checks and Health Assessments

- Immunisations and vaccine management in accordance with current guidelines

- Wound care and management

- Spirometry and ECGs

- Dopplers

- Injury triage and management

- Pre-employment medicals

- Drug and alcohol instant testing

- Assisting with surgical and minor procedures

- Coordination and management of the treatment room

- Stock control and ordering of medical supplies

- Sterilisation and care of medical instruments and equipment

- General treatment room equipment maintenance





- Maintaining high standards of infection control and clinical compliance

- EN supervision and support

The Successful Applicant Must Have:

- Current AHPRA Registered Nurse registration

- Previous experience working as an RN in General Practice – essential

- Excellent time management and organisational skills

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

- Strong attention to detail

- Ability to multitask effectively – a must

- Ability to work autonomously while also being a positive and collaborative team member

- A professional, friendly and patient-focused approach
