About the Role

As a Senior Data Integration Engineer, you'll bridge the gap between operational systems, data platforms and end users. You'll design and deliver integration solutions that ensure critical information is accurate, accessible and useful for decision-making.

You will work closely with Defence stakeholders, software engineers and project teams to integrate data across multiple systems, automate workflows and deliver analytics capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and manage data integration solutions across multiple systems
- Build and maintain data pipelines, workflows and automated processes
- Integrate data from operational, analytical and business systems
- Transform and structure data for reporting, dashboards and analytics




- Develop integrations using APIs and industry-standard data formats
- Configure and connect software platforms to exchange information effectively
- Integrate AI and machine learning services into data workflows
- Support Defence customers by translating operational needs into technical solutions
- Collaborate with development teams to deliver recent capabilities and product improvements
- Mentor engineers and contribute technical leadership across projects
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices

You will also bring:

- Strong knowledge of APIs, data flows and integration patterns
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
- Understanding of data transformation, analytics and reporting
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to operate independently while contributing to broader project objectives
- Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to team members

Essential Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or a related discipline
- Australian Citizenship
- Current NV1 Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance
