About the role

You will be responsible for roof ventilation installation work, including installing solar-powered roof ventilation systems, installing wind-driven whirlybirds, completing roof penetrations and flashings on both tile and metal roofs, assessing suitable installation locations and completing work safely and professionally, ensuring all penetrations are correctly flashed, sealed and weatherproofed, working safely at heights and following site safety requirements, maintaining a high standard of workmanship, communicating professionally with residential customers, and looking after company equipment and maintaining a clean and organised work area.

Key responsibilities

- Installing solar-powered roof ventilation systems

- Installing wind-driven whirlybirds

- Completing roof penetrations and flashings on both tile and metal roofs

- Assessing suitable installation locations and completing work safely and professionally

- Ensuring all penetrations are correctly flashed, sealed and weatherproofed

- Working safely at heights and following site safety requirements

- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship

- Communicating professionally with residential customers

- Looking after company equipment and maintaining a clean and organised work area

- Willing to drive long distances if needed

About you





- Have previous roofing, mechanical plumbing or relevant trade experience

- Have experience flashing roof penetrations on both tile and metal roofs

- Be confident and competent working on roofs

- Hold a current Australian driver's licence

- Hold a White Card

- Be reliable, punctual and able to work independently

- Take pride in their workmanship and attention to detail

- Have good communication and customer service skills

- Have a strong attitude towards workplace and roof safety

- A current Working at Heights qualification is highly regarded
