Southern Steel QLD, Queensland’s leading steel supplier and processing company, is seeking a dedicated and reliable Storeperson to join our Townsville branch.

As a key player in our operations, you will be responsible for the warehousing and distribution of steel products, ensuring we meet the demands of our customers efficiently and safely.

What You’ll Do:
Safely handle and distribute steel products using forklifts and overhead cranes
Accurately pick, pack, unload, load, and stack materials
Operate machinery such as band saws when required
Perform general warehouse duties, maintaining a high standard of organization
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all

What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in warehouse operations or a similar role is highly valued
Valid forklift license (preferred)
Crane license or experience with overhead gantry cranes (preferred but not essential)
Physically fit and able to perform manual labour in a high-energy environment




Excellent communication skills and a keen attention to detail
A solid team player who can also work independently when required
