Retail Manager

Annual salary $80,000-$85,000

EUDUNDA ROADHOUSE– a busy regional South Australian business comprising a petrol station with various roadhouse facilities and a well- equipped convenience retail outlet for motorists and tourists.

This full-time position is responsible for managing the overall operations, ensuring strong sales performance, effective staff supervision, stock control, and high customer service standards.

The successful candidate will be confident in leading a team, monitoring financial performance, and maintaining efficient retail operations in a busy and agile workplace.

Responsibilities:
Plan, organise, and control the day-to-day operations of the retail store to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
Monitor sales performance, establish revenue targets, and implement strategies to improve profitability

· Determine product mix, stock levels, and inventory requirements to meet customer demand and maximise sales opportunities
Manage purchasing, pricing, stock levels, and inventory systems to maintain optimal stock availability
Analyse sales reports, margins, and financial data to identify trends and improve business outcomes




Recruit, train, supervise, and roster retail staff to maintain productivity and service standards
Ensure high levels of customer service, addressing enquiries and resolving complaints

Oversee merchandising, promotional displays, and store presentation to maximise sales opportunities
Ensure compliance with company policies, Australian Consumer Law, and workplace health and safety requirements
Monitor operational costs and manage store budgets in line with business objectives

Required Skills & Experience

At least 2 years’ experience in a retail supervisory or management role
Relevant qualification in Retail Management, Business, or related discipline (or equivalent industry experience)
Robust leadership and team management skills
Demonstrated ability to manage sales targets, budgets, and financial reporting
Sound understanding of stock control, purchasing, and inventory management systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to manage competing priorities in a retail environment
