Job Title: Casual Dental Receptionist

Employment Type: Casual ( Mondays, Wed afternoon)

Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, organised, and reliable Casual Dental Receptionist to join our team. This role is the first point of contact for our patients and plays a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice. Flexibility is essential, as shifts may vary based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities
Greet and welcome patients in a warm and qualified manner
Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and appointment enquiries
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
Maintain accurate patient records and update details as required
Process payments, issue receipts, and handle billing (including health funds)
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and correspondence
Liaise with dentists, oral health therapists, and clinical staff to ensure smooth workflow
Maintain a clean and organised reception and waiting area
Handle patient queries and concerns with professionalism and discretion

Skills & Experience




Previous reception or administrative experience (dental or medical preferred but not essential)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational and time management abilities
Ability to multitask and work in a quick-paced environment
Competent in computer systems and Microsoft Office (experience with dental software is an advantage)
Professional presentation and a positive attitude
