Fire 4 Change is looking for experienced female Disability Support Workers to join a dedicated support team for a female participant living with Cerebral Palsy in the Corinda area.

We are looking for the right personalities and experience, with workers who genuinely want to build consistency and become part of an ongoing team.

Shifts Available

We have supports available 7 days per week, including:

Day shifts: 9:00am – 2:00pm
Evening shifts: 5:00pm – 9:00pm

There is an chance for the right workers to pick up multiple permanent shifts each week.

About the Participant

Our participant lives independently in her own home and is very capable of communicating and directing her own supports.

She has Cerebral Palsy, is unable to weight bear and requires hands-on assistance with personal care, transfers and mobility.

She knows exactly how she likes her supports completed and is looking for workers who are confident, respectful and willing to learn her established routines.

Who We Need

This role involves hands-on personal care and manual handling, so you must be comfortable and confident in this area.





We are specifically looking for someone who is:

Active and physically fit
Experienced and confident with manual handling and transfers
Comfortable providing personal care
Reliable and consistently punctual
Calm, down-to-earth and easy to communicate with
Able to listen and take direction from the participant
Present and engaged while on shift
Looking for consistent, long-term supports

Reliability is extremely key. If you regularly run late, cancel shifts or are looking for occasional work only, this won’t be the right team for you.

Training

Buddy shifts and hands-on training will be provided with the participant’s existing support team before you are expected to work independently.

Corinda / Brisbane Southside

Pay: $36.22 – $45.28 per hour
