We are seeking an experienced hands-on Leading Hand / Foreperson with a solid background in steel fabrication and manufacturing to join our team.

About the Role

You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day workshop operations while leading by example. Your responsibilities will include:
Allocating jobs and supervising daily workloads
Coordinating and monitoring job progress to ensure deadlines are met
Monitoring productivity and identifying opportunities to improve workflow
Conducting quality control and ensuring work meets required standards and specifications
Working hands-on with steel fabrication and manufacturing
Maintaining an organised and productive workshop environment
Assisting with problem-solving and providing practical solutions when challenges arise

About You

We are looking for someone who:
Has solid experience in steel fabrication and manufacturing




Has previous experience as a Leading Hand or Foreperson
Has a strong understanding of workshop processes, productivity and quality control
Can accurately assess fabrication requirements, materials, labour and job timeframes
Has excellent communication and organisational skills
Has a solid work ethic, positive attitude and commitment to safety
Is reliable, proactive and able to take ownership of daily workshop operations
