Key Responsibilities
Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
Take customer orders and answer questions about bakery products.
Serve bread, pastries, cakes, sandwiches and other bakery items.
Operate the cash register and process cash, EFTPOS and other payments accurately.
Pack and present products neatly.
Restock displays and ensure products are presented attractively.
Check product quality, freshness and presentation.
Keep the shop, counters, displays and customer areas clean and tidy.
Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
Assist with opening and closing duties.
Work effectively with other team members during busy periods.
Handle customer enquiries and resolve basic customer concerns professionally.
Complete other reasonable duties as required by the bakery.

Skills & Requirements
Previous retail, hospitality or customer service experience is preferred but not essential.




Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Friendly, positive and approachable personality.
Reliable, punctual and well presented.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
Good attention to detail.
Comfortable handling cash and using a POS system.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to cleanliness, food safety and customer service.
Availability to work weekends and/or early mornings may be required.
