A successful Brisbane based children's entertainment company is looking for a Driver/Puppeteer

About the Role:

DRIVER / PUPPETEER – IMMEDIATE START

We’re looking for a happy, bubbly, confident, and experienced performer to join our team, assisting the presenter in delivering educational dinosaur shows to preschools and schools. You have to be easy in front of people, organise & control groups of children, FUN, LOUD and VERY CONFIDENT.

The role involves:

-Performing educational dinosaur shows in front of large audiences of children

-Operating dinosaur hand puppets and our spectacular 14-foot Velociraptor puppet

-Driving a small manual truck to and from performances

-Loading and unloading medium/heavy equipment

-Engaging confidently and enthusiastically with children

-Setting up, packing down and working independently

The ideal candidate will:

⭐ Have previous experience performing in front of larger audiences

⭐ Be naturally happy, energetic, bubbly and approachable

⭐ Have experience working with preschool and school-aged children

⭐ Be confident engaging with groups and keeping children entertained and involved

⭐ Be reliable,



well organised and able to work independently

⭐ Hold a manual car licence and be confident driving a small manual truck

⭐ Have a current Blue Card and Police Check, or be willing to obtain them

⭐ Be available during school holidays and some weekends (not every weekend)

No formal qualifications are required but you need to be a confident, energetic with a qualified attitude and dedicated passion to making a difference in the lives of our most precious resource: children. Early childhood/teaching experience is a bonus. Weekend work is an essential requirement as well as own reliable vehicle and BlueCard.
