Burgess Personnel is recruiting experienced Boilermaker Welders ($75-$78p/hr plus super) and Trade Assistants ($60 to $62p/hr plus super) for a major mine site conversion project, involving the repurposing of an existing mining operation and the installation of new gold processing equipment.
About the role
You'll be involved in structural and plate work, fabrication, and installation tasks associated with recent mining and processing plant equipment. This is an initial 6-month engagement working a 3:1 swing roster on shutdown hours, with robust potential for extension as the project progresses. You'll be part of a crew working on the conversion of an existing mine site to support gold production, including the installation of new gold processing and mining equipment.
Key responsibilities
Structural and plate work on current mining and processing plant equipment
Fabrication and installation tasks
Supporting fabrication and installation crews on site
Keeping work areas secure and efficient
Assisting tradespeople across a range of tasks
About you
Trade qualification (Boilermaker positions)
Relevant trade certificates/tickets as standard for the role
Current CN and C6 crane ticket and dogman/rigging tickets highly regarded, particularly for Trade Assistants (more money offered for this certification)
Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical - candidates with existing medicals will be prioritised.
Ability to pass a National Police Clearance- candidates with existing police checks will be prioritised.
Prior FIFO/swing camp experience preferred
