About the role
This role supports one participant on the Gold Coast using a teach–prompt–fade capacity-building approach. You will provide direct support with genuine independence and autonomy, working across mornings, afternoons and overnights.
Key responsibilities
Direct support using teach–prompt–fade capacity-building approach
Proactive home management during quieter periods — cleaning, supply planning, stock audits (first aid, emergency, car safety kits, go-bags)
Researching and pitching activities matched to the participant's interests
Explicit, accurate shift notes and documentation
About you
Experience in mental health support and complex communication needs
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance + Blue Card
First Aid & CPR
NDIS Worker Orientation, Induction,
Protected Eating & Safe Communication modules
Open Australian driver's licence
Availability across mornings, afternoons and overnights
Genuinely proactive — you spot what needs doing and do it
Patient and resilient, with the ability to reset each day
Comfortable working autonomously and staying in close contact with management
An animal lover — cats (including one affectionate white cat), birds, fish, reptiles and scorpions are all part of the home
