An exciting prospect has opened up for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a well-established and growing business based in Mascot, on an immediate start basis. This is a fantastic chance for a hands-on finance qualified to step into an end-to-end role, partnering closely with the CFO and taking real ownership of the function from day one.
Key responsibilities
Own the end-to-end financial accounting function, bringing structure, accuracy and pace to everything from journals to reporting
Drive the month-end close process, ensuring reconciliations and journal entries are delivered with precision and to deadline
Prepare polished financial statements and management reports that give the CFO and leadership real clarity over the numbers
Manage BAS, GST and other statutory and compliance reporting with confidence and attention to detail
Take true ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and safeguard the integrity of the general ledger
Partner directly with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting and audit processes
Bring fresh thinking to process improvement and system enhancements, helping shape a more productive finance function
About you
CA or CPA qualified (or well progressed towards completion)
A proven track record managing the financial accounting function end to end
The confidence and capability to hit the ground running and own the role from day one
Immediately available or on a short notice period
Sharp communication skills paired with a proactive, can-do mindset
A genuine passion for continuous improvement and doing things the right way
