Job Advert – Venue & Retail Operations Manager
Kew & Canterbury, Melbourne | Full time | Premium Chocolate & Café Retail
Torode Xocolatl is seeking an experienced, reliable and commercially aware Venue & Retail Operations Manager to oversee the performance of our Kew and Canterbury stores. This role is responsible for leadership, standards, communication, follow-through and reporting across both venues. It is ideal for a mature operator who can lead people, build accountability and ensure management decisions are implemented.

Key responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day performance of both stores
Lead, support and develop supervisors and store teams
Ensure high standards in customer service, cleanliness and presentation
Monitor product and beverage consistency
Manage rostering, staffing coordination and day-to-day issues
Support onboarding, training and team accountability
Oversee stock, store systems and operational processes
Manage complaints and escalate issues appropriately
Maintain communication between stores, management and production




Identify local sales opportunities and support commercial growth
Provide explicit weekly reporting
Ensure tasks are followed through and closed out

About you
Previous multi-site retail, hospitality or café management experience preferred
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent communication and reporting skills
Highly organised with strong follow-through
Reliable, mature and confident making decisions
Commercially aware and able to identify opportunities
Comfortable holding people accountable while maintaining a positive culture
Professional, proactive and solutions-focused
Willing and able to work on the floor
