About the role

Zoom Recruitment is seeking a detail oriented Payroll Officer to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Keilor Park, VIC 3042, this role is fundamental to ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our organisation. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role processing payroll for our external workforce across multiple awards and enterprise agreements. You'll be a key part of a payroll function backed by a supportive team and robust systems.

Key responsibilities
Process and administer payroll for employees on a weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Maintain accurate employee records
Calculate and process employee entitlements including wages, superannuation contributions and employee benifits in accordance with awards and enterprise agreements
Liaise with employees and managers regarding payroll queries and employment-related matters
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee information
Support the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and processes

What we're looking for
Experience as a Payroll Officer in a complex, high-volume workplace




FastTrack360 experience highly regarded
Strong award, EBA and agreement interpretation skills — core to this role
Experience paying a casualised workforce with timesheets across multiple awards and agreements
High-level Excel and strong payroll systems capability
Sound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation and tax obligations
Sharp attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
Strong time management and a sense of urgency to meet tight pay deadlines
A solutions-first mindset and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
