NTC Contracting are looking for a senior heavy duty diesel mechanical fitter for a full time role in Onslow and sites around the Pilbara. The position will be hands on overseeing NTC's extensive fleet of over 50 items of plant.
The successful candidate will be trade certified with extensive experience on heavy equipment particularly earthmoving plant. They should be a solid problem solver, able to work under pressure and to the highest safety standards. Key responsibilities and duties include:
Performing preventive maintenance on earthmoving equipment
Providing in-field service/repair / diagnosis on equipment
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic fault finding skills
Working autonomously and self-motivated
Planning work and carrying out parts and equipment requisitions as necessary
Robust commitment to workplace health and safety
Ability to be punctual,
reliable and fit to work
Ability to complete documentation related to inspection sheets, certificates and note work incidents
The essential requirements are:
Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
White Construction Card
Valid Australian Drivers Licence
Forklift License
Ability to pass a Medical and a Drug & Alcohol Test
The position is open to FIFO, DIDO, Local residence, with housing available if the candidate wanted to live in Onslow.
The role is 12hr days with flexible roster options.
