Mithangkaya Nguli Young People Ahead Youth and Community Services Indigenous Corporation is seeking a highly dedicated and motivated person to fill the role of Case Worker in Mount Isa.

As a community controlled Indigenous Corporation, established over 40 years ago by Elders, Mithangkaya Nguli YPA prides itself in working across vast traditional lands Queensland achieving great successes in self-determination and meaningful change in empowering children and young people to be protected and thriving.

The Case Worker – Kunparra Youth Shelter will support young people (16-25yrs) in need of crisis accommodation and facilitate wrap around support to address issues and needs with case management to their ongoing social, emotional health and wellbeing. Working in collaboration with the Team Leader the Case Worker will develop, maintain and regularly report on findings and progress of individual case plans.



The Case Worker will work in a culturally secure and trauma informed practice to guide decision making to preserve and foster continued strong connection to Family, Culture and Community.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

As a highly skilled skilled you will be able to clearly demonstrate the depth of knowledge, experience and skills you have to oversee all functions and duties of the Case Worker role.
