Educator position.

The Certificate III Educator provides responsive, respectful and developmentally appropriate education and care for babies and young children. The Educator supports children’s safety, wellbeing, secure relationships, routines, learning and development, and contributes to the approved learning framework and the service’s educational program under the direction of the Nominated Supervisor, Educational Leader and designated room leadership.

Key Duties
Provide warm, responsive and respectful care to babies and young children.
Maintain active supervision and ensure children’s health, safety and wellbeing.
Support feeding, bottles, sleep, settling, nappy changing and hygiene routines.
Follow individual routines, protected-sleep requirements and service policies.
Plan, implement and evaluate the Baby Room educational program in line with the EYLF and children’s interests and developmental needs.
Complete observations, learning documentation, program planning and reflections.
Prepare secure, engaging and age-appropriate learning environments and experiences.
Build positive relationships and communicate professionally with families.
Maintain accurate care, sleep, meal, medication, incident and other required records.
Keep the room,



toys and equipment clean, hygienic, organised and well stocked.
Work cooperatively with other educators and communicate relevant room information.
Report illnesses, injuries, hazards, child-safety concerns and operational issues promptly.
Follow all child-safe standards, National Quality Framework requirements and centre policies.
Contribute additional skills such as music, piano, art, movement, languages, photography, family events or approved marketing content.
Perform other reasonable duties consistent with the position.

Contribute additional skills such as music, piano, singing, painting, craft, movement, languages or cultural experiences where appropriate.
Assist with room displays, special events, celebrations and family-engagement activities.
Assist with approved photographs, activity descriptions and educational content for the centre’s communication or marketing purposes.
Ensure that all photographs and content comply with family consent, privacy, child-secure and service policies.
Perform other reasonable duties consistent with the Certificate III Educator position.
