Yard Hand / Forklift Operator

Join our client, a leading manufacturer and seller of pavers, as a Yard Hand/Forklift Operator. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the yard runs smoothly by handling equipment, assisting with stock movements, and maintaining a tidy work area.

What’s involved?
Your daily responsibilities will include cleaning, maintaining, and securing all equipment according to policies, assisting with picking and packing stock, data entry, operating a forklift, and willing to work outside in various weather conditions. Your initiative and reliability will contribute significantly to the team’s productivity and safety.

What skills do you need?
Proven experience in forklift operation
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work physically,



lifting and moving stock as required
Reliable and proactive attitude with a focus on safety

Nice to have:
Previous yard or warehouse experience
Basic manual handling or safety certifications

Preferred qualifications & experience:
Forklift license (essential)
Previous experience in a manufacturing, production or logistics setting preferred

Other requirements:
Physically fit, willing to work outside in various weather conditions and in a fast-paced environment
Long pants, high-visibility shirts, and steel caps PPE are required on site
Availability to work between 5am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, with 38 hours per week
Willingness to commit to a long-term role with a 3-month trial period leading to potential permanent placement
