Overview
We have Build and Cutover activity on 10th Sep. This is a racking and stacking activity of Access Points and Switches. Please share your CV if you are interested and our team will get back to you.
Responsibilities
Verify & Validate the Bill of Materials (active & passive components).
Receive and Inspect network equipment (switches, APs, controllers, firewalls).
Rack and Stack devices in designated positions as per the layout plan.
Cable Management: Identify and label network cables for installation.
Power Setup: Verify available PDU sockets and install redundant power sources if required.
Provide Console Access for client’s remote engineers to configure the devices.
Physically replace & install network devices, including:
• Switches (Core, Distribution, and Access Switches)
• Wireless Access Points (Ceiling/Wall Mounted)
Cable Patching: Perform inter-rack & intra-rack patching with copper and fiber cables.
Ensure neat dressing and labeling of cables inside the racks.
Swapping Connections:
Migrate endpoint connections from old to current switches.
Testing: Conduct power-on and connectivity tests for all installed devices.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Work with in office contacts to verify device functionality.
Document Installation & Spare Materials: Submit a list of installed devices and leftover materials.
Take Before & After Photos of racks, patch panels, and cabling.
Qualifications
Experience with rack-and-stack activities for network devices (Switches, APs, controllers, firewalls).
Cable management and patching experience (copper and fiber).
Ability to provide console access and coordinate with remote engineers.
Testing and UAT experience for network installations.
