Job Overview
We are seeking a Technical Lead - SAP CAP Consultant to lead the design and development of SAP CAP applications, while remaining deeply hands on in delivery.
This role is focused specifically on SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) and is not the general SAP BTP consultant role.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain SAP CAP services and applications using Node.js or JavaBuild and expose APIs using OData (primarily v4) and RESTDefine and implement CDS data models, service layers, and business logicDevelop CAP based extensions aligned to S/4HANA clean core principlesTroubleshoot complex issues across CAP services, data models, and integrationsEnsure performance, scalability, and maintainability of CAP solutionsAct as the technical lead for SAP CAP components within projectsDefine CAP development standards, patterns, and best practicesReview solution designs, code, and pull requests for quality and consistencyGuide and mentor junior developers in CAP concepts and delivery practicesLead by example through hands on coding and problem solving
Qualifications
Associated professional qualification5+ years SAP development experienceStrong, proven hands on experience with SAP CAPSolid experience with Node.js or Java CAP implementationsStrong understanding of CDS modelling, services,



and CAP architectureExperience leading CAP development while remaining hands onExperience integrating CAP services with S/4HANAExperience consuming CAP services via Fiori/UI5 or other front end frameworksExposure to event driven or API led architectures within CAP solutionsExperience working across multiple CAP delivery projects or clients.
