We ensure their safety, welfare, and wellbeing, offering them a nurturing environment through Cultural Journeyz, with a robust focus on Safety, Collaboration, Quality, Self-determination and Culture.About the RoleFull Time- 38 hours per weekOn-Call Rotating RosterOffices located in Cardiff, East Maitland and SingletonIn this position, you will be responsible forProviding support, supervision, and monitoring to a team of caseworkersOffer assistance to children and young people in out-of-home care and their carers.Be instrumental in identifying, establishing, and supporting placements for Aboriginal children and young peopleLocationWhile the Cultural Journeyz Program covers the Hunter and Upper Hunter, Central Coast, Port Stephens, Newcastle, and Lake Macquarie for program delivery, the successful application has the flexibility to work across Muloobinba's Cardiff,
East Maitland and Singleton Offices.Position RequirementsConfirmation of AboriginalityWorking with Children Check ClearanceCurrent Driver's LicenseParticipation in an on-call rotating rosterAboriginality is a genuine qualification and is authorised under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act ****.This position is classified as child-related employment and is subject to relevant employment screening.RemunerationA remuneration package will be paid in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award, with the annual salary ranging from $124K-$125K on Commencement plus superannuation, leave loading, and salary sacrifice.Salary is based on experience and qualifications, and wages can be negotiated with the successful applicant.Application CriteriaRelevant experience working with Aboriginal children and young people and their families in the statutory systemWorking knowledge of legislated requirements for out-of-home care, including familiarity with NSW Standards for Statutory OOHC guidelines and accreditation requirementsRelevant experience in leading a team, including supporting, supervising, and monitoring caseworkTertiary Qualifications in Community Services, Social Work or associated relevant fieldYour application will not be considered if there is no cover letter addressing the above criteria.If you would like to know more information please call on ************.
