As a Maintenance Fitter in poultry manufacturing, you will be responsible for bothreactiveandpreventativemaintenance of production equipment and machinery.Your role ensures high uptime, safety, reliability, and compliance with food-processing standards.
This role is critical in supporting production efficiency and achieving minimal downtime.Key responsibilitiesPerform start-up checks and complete preventative maintenance tasks designed to minimize breakdown risks and optimize equipment longevityPerform preventative, planned, and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipmentTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic,
and hydraulic systemsEnsure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer specificationsRespond promptly to maintenance requests to minimise downtimeProduction Line setup and ensuring all lines are running smoothlySolve technical problems and check to ensure smooth production/packaging runLiaise with Operations and Maintenance Management to discuss problems and improvementsMaintain accurate records in a systematized manner of maintenance activities, including service logs and parts usageIdentify opportunities for process improvement and cost savingsAbout youTrade qualifications in Fitter / Turning are requiredProven experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or food production environmentStrong mechanical aptitude and experience with workshop activities such as lathe, machining, welding, and rebuildsProficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving mechanical systemsKnowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systemsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematicsDrivers Licence and Forklift license requiredExcellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
