Sandvik Mining | Location: Kalgoorlie, WAJob Type : Full Time, Permanent (38 hours per week, Monday to Friday)About the OpportunityWe're on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our high-performing team at our workshop in Kalgoorlie.
In this critical role, you'll be responsible for coordinating production activities within our busy workshop.
From scheduling jobs and allocating resources to collaborating with technicians, supervisors, and procurement teams - you'll be at the heart of ensuring smooth, protected, and efficient operations.
You'll also play an active role in identifying opportunities to improve productivity, streamline workflows, and support continuous improvement initiatives.This role is primarily office-based, but you'll need to be hands-on - regularly engaging with workshop operations.
You'll also occasionally visit customer and supplier sites, including mine sites and industrial environments, which means adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Flexibility and adaptability are key as you support a range of operational needs across varied locations.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and managing detailed production plans and schedulesMonitoring job progress and coordinating workshop activitiesEnsuring timely procurement of materials and contractor engagementMaintaining accurate records and visual management systemsSupporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiencyContributing to a strong safety culture and organisational complianceAbout youExperience in workshop planning, scheduling, or coordinationSolid understanding of maintenance workflows and inventory controlProficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
and planning toolsStrong communication and time management skillsA proactive, customer-focused mindsetRelevant trade or engineering qualificationExperience with Maximo or similar ERP systemsExposure to underground mining equipment and workshop operationsTo be eligible for this role, you must have the right to live and work in Australia.
