No two days the same.Alfabs Mining is growing — and we're looking for experienced Electrical and Mechanical Field Service Technicians who know their way around underground mining equipment and aren't interested in spending every day doing the same thing.Based DIDO from Emerald, Mackay or Rockhampton, QLDor FIFO from Kurri Kurri, NSW you'll hit the road and head underground, supporting customers across Queensland with diagnostics, breakdowns, repairs, rebuilds and commissioning of specialised underground mining, material handling and face machinery.If you can fault-find under pressure, solve problems others can't and take pride in getting serious machinery back into production, we want to hear from you.Alfabs Group is an ASX-listed Australian engineering and manufacturing company, and our Mining business is entering a major growth phase with a strong pipeline of work across NSW and Queensland.This is your chance to get in while we're growing.THE ROLEThis isn't a workshop-only role.
You'll be out where the equipment earns its keep — providing hands‐on technical support across underground coal mining operations.
You'll work across specialised equipment, tackle complex faults and work alongside experienced electrical and mechanical trades to keep our customers moving.Expect to get involved in:Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults on underground mining equipmentPlanned maintenance, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairsEmergency field service call‐outs when the pressure is onSupporting coal cutting and face machinery undergroundEquipment rebuilds, refurbishment, assembly and commissioningInstalling, testing and commissioning electrical components and control systemsConducting pre‐start checks, inspections and statutory testingReading and working from schematics, engineering drawings and scopes of workBuilding strong relationships with customer and site teamsGetting the job done safely,



properly and professionallyWHAT YOU'LL BRINGWe're looking for tradespeople who know their stuff, back themselves and work well when the job gets challenging.You'll need:Relevant Electrical or Mechanical Trade QualificationUnderground coal mining field service experienceExtensive experience in Coal Cutting / Face MachineryStrong fault‐finding and diagnostic capabilityAbility to read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings and scopesA serious commitment to safetyStrong work ethic and a willingness to get stuck inGood communication skills and the ability to deal confidently with customersAbility to work autonomously and as part of a crewWillingness to travel across NSW and QueenslandFlexibility to work overtime when the job requires itCurrent Drivers LicenceEven better if you already have:Current Coal Board MedicalForklift licenceBroad experience across underground coal mining and face machineryWHY ALFABS?
